The first-ever brand campaign built and run exclusively on the Xbox platform.

At MRM McCann we we’re tasked with helping Verizon launch Fios Instant Internet, the only 750 Mbps Internet in NYC with upload speeds as fast as download speeds. At the same time NYC gamers we’re getting ready for the highly anticipated launch of Halo Wars 2. By partnering with Xbox, Halo and Twitch we created 750 Instant Drops, the first ever socially integrated experience to take place within the Xbox platform. Then brought it to NYC gamers with the help of well known pro gamers and influencers through twitter. Gaming pros tweeted out 750 copies of the ultimate edition of Halo Wars 2 — the day before its official release. With one catch. You had to be fast in order to win the free copy. Winning participants were also invited to play Halo Wars 2 against the pro-gamers at a live event broadcasted on Twitch.

That day excitement grew with a 600% increase in social chatter, resulting in #FiosInstant becoming the #1 trending topic in NYC. There was over 2.2 million impressions, a total influencer reach of 16.7 million and even a 20% increase in product sales.
